READING, MA. - Dracut High School and Reading High School girl's soccer team played to a 1 - 1 draw during a scrimmage on Tuesday.

Dracut scored early in the first half on a corner kick from senior Kelly Nichols. Reading scored on a long distance shot in the second half over freshman goal keeper Jen Cole to tie the score.

The Middies swarmed the Rockets half of the field throughout the game, registering 14 shots while allowing five.

"I am very pleased with the progress we have made during the preseason so far," said Head Coach Wayne Currie. "This scrimmage with Reading allowed us to look at different combinations of players in different situations."

The Middies will continue their pre-season schedule with a jamboree at Reading High School on Saturday, September 1. This will be a varsity game only.
